Sensus presents results at American Chemical Society National Meeting
Sensus scientist, Youngmok Kim, PhD, will be presenting results of research conducted at Sensus at the 242nd National Meeting of the American Chemical Society in Denver, Colorado. The title of his talk is "Antioxidant Polyphenolics In Ready To Drink Tea: How Are They Really Measured?". The conference goes from August 28th until September 1rd, with Dr. Kim's presentation on Tuesday, August 30th at 10:30am at the Colorado Convention Center, room 506. Hope to see you there! |

Researchers at Sensus have had a strong publishing year. So far there have been 4 peer reviewed publications along with a book chapter and editing of a book. |

Sensus welcomes 3 new employees
Sensus is excited to welcome three new employees. Carly Adams is the Sensus Summer Intern from Ohio State University who will be learning QC, product development, and conduct a research project. She will have a very full summer but she is ready for the challenge. Tess Jones has joined Sensus as a QC Technologist. She is a graduate from Ohio State University with QC experience in her previous position. Lastly, Emily Birkel is a new Beverage Technolist. She has both a BS and MS from Ohio State University. |

Sensus expansion nearing completion
Sensus has been expanding in 2010! A large expansion is underway and is expected to be complete in 4-6 weeks. The expansion totals more than 40,000 square feet, which will double production and more than triple the laboratory space. |

Sensus presents products at Institute of Food Technologist National Annual Meeting and Expo
Sensus recently participated in the annual IFT National Meeting and Expo. At our booth (#4636), various finished products were demonstarted which showcased our ingredients and types of applications. In addition, a purple corn puff was available which is the result of a joint grant project with Sensus, Wyandot Snacks, and OSU. |

Sensus Intern Wins Denman Competition
Sensus would like to announce and congratulate Jenna Wlotzko on winning the Agriculture/Environmental Science division of The Ohio State University Denman Undergraduate Research Forum. Jenna presented research conducted during her 2009 internship at Sensus while being mentored by researcher Dr. Kevin L. Goodner. Her research on anthocyanins as colorants for ready-to-drink beverages explored the efficacy of using purple corn, hibiscus, blueberry, red cabbage, and purple potato. |
